Jassem is 9 years old and was born in Ragga. With 7 years he came to Libanon, but hasn’t gone to school in Syria before, because it was too dangerous to be out on the street. He painted a flag because his parents always say that it’s hard to forget where you’re from, when you live in a refugee camp. Jassem already forgot many things from his home country, that’s why he often draws flags. When I asked him what he wants to become later in life, he responds cheerfully: „A groom!“ The bride to be still lives in Ragga and he misses her a lot.
