For a large portion of the children and youth supported by our partner organizations this last ‘Corona year’ was a herculean task. Their already precarious and sometimes inhumane living conditions became significantly worse during the pandemic. Whether it was the socially disadvantaged kids here in Germany who suddenly had to arrange themselves with their families in small accommodations without school or friends to offer any reprieve, the orphans in Uganda whose food had to be rationed, or the young refugees who had to fight for their lives due to lockdowns, a lack of supplies, and environmental catastrophes.

Given these conditions we are very happy that despite the difficult situation all around the globe we were able to raise so many donations in 2021. This is a huge relief and gives us a certain planning security for 2021, and it also opens doors for new projects and an extension of our funding activity. We will keep you posted about coming projects and partnerships!
