Phoenix Foundation is three years old and we are proud of all the accomplishments of these years; thanks to our donors and members we were able to support our three main projects- the Phoenix School for Syrian refugee children in the Lebanese Bekaa-Valley, our 45 orphans in Zigoti (Uganda), and our Munich-based project Ghettokids–with a total of 174.660 €.

Our little anniversary motivated and reinvigorated our drive, which is why we want to take this opportunity to introduce our newest project to you: Between the years of 2020 to 2023, we will be supporting the children and youth assistance project „Meine Welt“ in Berlin – Kreuzberg with 10,000 € per year. At My World, children between the ages of 6 and 14, with and without migration backgrounds and with or without physical or mental Impairments, have the opportunity to craft and work artistically while exploring their surroundings. Every afternoon, 25 to 33 kids can discover new ways to express themselves with the help of professional assistance. They can paint, draw, craft, and work with wood or clay, following themes and exploring ideas that are important to them. Music and theater are just as important in this exploration, and every month they organize a field trip for the groups

We visited the organization at “Verein Forum Kreuzberg”in Berlin where the project was initiated, and we were blown away by their work! We particularly loved their focus on sustainability.
